Architecture Foundations Studio final critique & wrap up

17

I cannot believe that 1) the semester has pretty much come to an end and 2) that I have survived another architecture studio! At the start of this project, I could not possibly have imagined the final outcome I ended up with and in a way that is the beauty of the design process - going through numerous iterations before ending up with the final result. My final project result was quite different than what I was used to presenting because this time around, I wanted to push myself out of my comfort zone and entirely rely on computer software to make all my architectural drawings and renderings. I am much more comfortable and used to presenting my architectural work through technical drawings as well as sketched out renderings. For my final project I used a combination of photoshop and illustrator to make my sketchup model and drawings look more realistic in their final form on the printed poster. For architecture foundations studio, we were not required to know any software or even use software in our final presentation so long as we were able to express our project ideas clearly. I just wanted to improve my skills with software that I have not yet fully mastered yet.
