This past week I traveled with other Architecture and Design (AD) students first to Stockholm, Sweden, and then to Helsinki, Finland. As an AD student you have the choice for your long study tour to travel  to Sweden & Finland or to Germany & Switzerland. The week was packed with amazing site visits including chapels, museums, architecture schools, and more. For the Sweden & Finland tour we took a train from Copenhagen to Stockholm then a ferry from Stockholm to Finland and then at the conclusion of our trip we flew from Helsinki to Copenhagen. My favorite memory from this trip was on our last night in Finland when we got to experience a Finnish sauna followed by a polar plunge....yes we literally jumped into an ice-covered lake (aside from the hole carved out for us to jump into). Prior to the experience I told myself there was no way I would be able to jump into the ice-cold water but I liked it so much I ended up doing the polar plunge 3 times that night!
